Datong Park |
|
In
order to meet the request for parks and green areas as
raised by the residents of Datong Village of this township,
after Mr. Lin became the Mayor of the township in 1998, he
has planned the construction of “Datong Park” proactively.
After going through much difficulty, the space beside No.
40, Lane 77, Deming Road, Datong Village was selected for
the park. |
|
◎Pavilion with marble table and seats ◎Sight-seeing platform
◎Double lane slide |
|
After the beginning of the construction in 2002 and the
completion of the hardware and plantation work in March
2003, its administration was taken over by the Township
Office after its formal completion in May. It was then
opened on 19 July. |
|
Datong Park is well equipped and marble seats are placed
everywhere. There is a pavilion with stone table and seats,
a 2-storey sight-seeing platform (toilets for males and
females, E & M plant room and patrol box for police
patrolling in parks on 1/F), a healthy pebble trail with
night-time illumination facilities, a children playground
with double lane slide, little iron rocking horse and flower
beds planted with seasonal flowers, as well as turf on
slopes and automatic sprinkling system to achieve a green
effect. |
|
Datong Park is adjacent to Ming Chuan University. Apart
from the several collective individual house communities
found around the park, dormitories and shops have also been
built in the vicinity in recent years. Even though Datong
Park is not large, as it is well equipped and maintained, it
has become the new recreation spot for “Mingtuo New
Village”, “Datong community” and students of Ming Chuan
University living in rented apartments. |

Dahu Park |
|
Due to the increase in the population of this township, the
administration zones were re-organized in 2002, with the
village administrations expanded from 26 to 30. Dahu
Village was newly set up after dividing the original Gongsi
Village. As Dahu Park, located in the new Dahu Village of
this township, is the No. 16 neighborhood park within
“Linkou metropolitan re-zoning area” of this township, its
name was changed from “No. 16 Neighborhood Park” to “Dahu
Park”. |
|
◎Rockeries in the park ◎Children skating rink ◎Ornamental
bamboo fence |
|
As
the land was acquired from re-zoning, the park enjoyed rapid
construction. After the beginning of the construction in
2002 and the completion of the hardware and plantation work
in February 2003, the park was completed and opened on 19
July 2003. |
|
Dahu Park, adjacent to Fusing 1st Road, is a tranquil
recreation venue in the bustling urban area. Apart from the
several collective individual house communities found around
the park, there are also blocks of residential buildings in
Wun 31st Street, Wun 32nd Street and the vicinity, making it
a genuine neighborhood park. |
|
Even though Datong Park is not large, as it is well
maintained and equipped, with a children’s playground, large
turf and skating rink, rows of beautiful ornamental bamboo
planted beside the children’s playground, as well as 2 sets
of stone tables and seats and 8 sets of backed stone
benches, it has become a good place for family and leisure
activities for the people of Dahu Village. |
