Dadong Mountain is located in Miankeng Village of this
township and its peak is 405m above sea level. It is the
“base point” for satellite survey for Taipei district, where
a tranquil hiking route leading to Guanshanling is found on
the east for enjoying the beauty of mountains and forests,
fun of flowers and birds, and scenery of fields. |

Start from the base point and following the ridge line of
Guanshanling, you will get to Cinglongling and see
Taliaokeng on the north and Tuzihkeng on the south. The
whole route, which takes about 1 hour, is embraced by green
trees to let you enjoy the serenity of forests and the
beauty of flowers and birds. Alpinia speciosa, Alocasia
macrorrhiza and clusters of umbrella-like Sphaeropteris
lepifera are really eye-catching in the dense forest. Even
though the road is rough, it is not steep. Since the ground
is composed of brown earth with entangled roots, it is
neither slippery on rainy days nor loose on sunny days,
making it a good place to get close to nature for the entire
family. |
