Ming Chuan University, originally known as “Ming Chuan
Women’s Business College”, was founded in 1957. It is the
earliest commercial college for females in Taiwan. It was
first set up at the southern foot of Yuanshan in Taipei City
and then moved to Shihlin in 1962. |

In
order to meet the long-term development of the school, the
slope lands of about 198348 m2 at Sinlukeng Section and
Datong Section of this township were purchased by the school
in 1967. The development started in 1992 and school complex
was built for the Taoyuan campus. In 1994, some of the
academics started their classes in Taoyuan campus. |

present, the schools of Management, Communication, Applied
Languages, Design, Law, Information Technology, Tourism and
a 2-year Institute of Technology are available in the school
and there are 7106 students. |

Some of the classes of School of Applied Languages, School
of Design, School of Tourism, School of Information
Technology and School of Management are taught in the campus
of this township. |
